--Virgin wrote:A fly buzzed about the woodsy air before settling upon Virgin's bosom. Nestled there, its tiny feet tickled her soft sticky skin. But Virgin ignored it as her keen senses signaled a dark beast was soon coming. She imagined him rugged and sinewy, a powerful tool to control and harness for the pink unicorn plight. Virgin brimmed with excitement as the honey slowly trickled down upon leather. Yet she could feel her honied magic overcome by forces unknown. Her dark beast was hindered and the sweet pheromones of her scent could not do the trick so easily.

'Hear now the words of the witches,
The secrets we hid in the night.
The oldest of gods are invoked here,
The great work of magic is sought.
In this night and in this hour,
I call upon the ancient powers.'

As Virgin slathered more honey upon herself, she uttered a spell. Her words were a sultry seductive whisper in the night.

.....'Bring me my beast. As I desire, so shall it be'

OOC: Launcey baby, how bad do you want me?

Launcelot wrote:The little pixie's dust settled upon Launce... His mind a buzz with emotions not his own.

He felt confused.

Drawing his sword he spun around... the horses and his companions becoming something of a blur before him. His eyes darted side to side, his mind raced.

Then his eyes became increasingly cloudy until they were as black as night. The smile disappeared from Launcelot's face... replaced by a look of intensity.

He turned towards the forest and ran. The low branches of trees whipped past him. For miles it seemed he ran... oblivious to the cuts and scrapes he received along the way. He heard the baying of hounds... or perhaps wolves in the distance.

Until finally, he burst through to the clearing in which she stood... Dark as night and sickeningly sweet. She dripped with honey, clad in leather.

His mind bent, uncontrollably to her will.

--Faery_o_the_wood wrote:The pixie felt the change come over him as he gave into the evil magick, as he lost sight of true love and happiness once more in pursuit of a fleeting moment in a lifetime of fleeting moments.

She knew that even magick cannot change a leopards spots ( at least not on the inside) and the man was want to do what a mere mortal was want to do. The faerie understood very suddenly and very acutely why the fae folk rarely mingled with the humans. They were predictable and sorely disappointing but alas there was always hope for the rare soul that would despite human foibles and adversity champion true love and be worthy of the sacred gift of the Unicorn and so the faeries still stood by now and again to find that rare human who was deserving.

Where there is love, evil follows In matters of love temptation always pokes its nose.It envies love and the joy it brings and hence it attacks love and cuts off its wings. If Only he had the strength to stay faithfully on this track, and not be blown off course, astray, and on true love turn his back.

The wee sprite was tossed about in his pocket as his feet took wings and not having the heart to see him succomb to his human failings she frantically grabbed the loose thread once more and shimmied up to freedom.

Her fall among the carpet of leaves on the forest floor went unnoticed and she sat there with her tiny head in her hands watching him run toward his fate.

The pixied sighed. Neither love nor magick can save one from their own fate as love is a choice you make from moment to moment.

Faretheewell Human.

"Who has choices need not choose.
We must, who have none.
We can love but what we lose--
What is gone is gone."

Launcelot wrote:Staring at the leather clad woman, who smelled so sweet that all thought seemed to race from Launcelot's head. He could see the look of triumph on her face as he stood transfixed.

It was as though he were a passenger in his own body. Not really in control, yet acutely aware of everything.

Perhaps it simply took pixie dust time to work... or perhaps the pixie dust used on him was past it's experation date... but all that black that clouded Launcelot's thinking was momentarily punctured by a touch of light.

Launcelot shook his head... it ached violently.

He tried desperately to pull his thoughts together, but the dark magic was strong. If not for the timely intereferance of one of the kinder (yet altogether too willing to give up on me) faerie folk, the fate of our hero would surely have been sealed. For in the darkness of his mind... there was an image that formed. Dark hair, clever smile... beautiful eyes... a look that said I will not be had easily, Launcelot MacGregor. If only she would speak. The merest word from her mouth could break the Virgin's spell... Launcelot was sure of it. But would she speak... Would Marshie see fit to save the man who risked life and limb (not to mention reputation and jail time) to win her heart?

--Faery_o_the_wood wrote:After a time the pixie became acutely aware of the silence of the wood. No primal screams came from the deep wood ahead. No tearing through the underbrush, no clawing at the sinking sun. Nothing. Nothing but silence.

Pixies being a notoriously curious sort, she found she could not help herself and picked herself up and brushed off and flitted upward and soon was on a tree branch just downwind from the clearing where the mortal man faced the leather clad she creature.

The wee sprite looked deeply into the dark liquid pools that were the man's eyes, she was keenly aware of the struggle of good magick vs evil magick. The power swayed to and fro and his soul was sorely tormented as time seem to stand still in the wood around them. Even the creatures and insects of the wood had abandoned this spot and the air was heavy and dense around them.

He WAS fighting. He was. He was perhaps not a slave to his human faults and base desires after all. There was perhaps more to this human than she had been ready to give him credit for. Perhaps true love could tame the savage beast that was within him. Perhaps the wandering bee had finally had an epihany that there can be many flowers in man's life but there can be only One Rose.

Perhaps just perhaps the faery was wrong and she had indeed encountered a hero. After all true heros are made when one runs away from temptation, and no one knows how hard it was to walk away. Heroes are often misunderstood they are and as they say" Heroes know that things must happen when it is time for them to happen. A quest may not simply be abandoned; unicorns may go unrescued for a long time, but not forever; a happy ending cannot come in the middle of the story."

and so she watched from afar, waiting to see where his heart would lead and if he had strength of body to follow. Waiting to see if indeed he was a hero of sorts or just a mere mortal with the moral integrity of the rabbits of the field. Whether he would choose love or lust. Whether he was worthy of the unicorn and capable of attaining and understanding the magic that only a unicorn possesses and or if her task was ended before it had even begun.

she whispered: if you have the courage to love then you have the courage to suffer. Fight and free yourself and go, your true destiny awaits somewhere just around the corner if you would but seek it and not wait it come to you.

Fae wrote:It took Fae a moment to catch up to the wayward hero of our tale. She struggled through the woods, fighting back branches, and all manor of plant life. It almost seemed as though the forest itself did not want her to reach her goal. Finally she came upon the scene.

"Oh good Jah," she whispered in annoyance.

Some random harlot (whom I love dearly and is not in fact a harlot in her true persona) had cast the spell she sensed earlier. Leather clad and dripping in honey, she beckoned Launce forward. A sweet embrace it might be, but fleeting and false. Fae realized he really did need help. She reached into her bag of tricks, her eyes focused on the woman before her, and whispered in a forgotten language known only to the Pavee. From her well hidden place among the trees, she sent a bit of gypsy magic flying through the air. With it came the scent of something familiar to the man, a memory of a place he’d never been.

--Virgin wrote:From out of the foliage, there appeared the dark beast. He fulfilled expectations, and showed in his full glory his toned muscles and rugged strength. Virgin looked him over with lustful eyes, but she was none like a harlot. Strumpets served men and their pleasurable desires, but Virgin was a woman of power and control. She relished the pride of knowing she was fearless, defying all in committing senseless crimes... the ultimate of which was the cruel desecration of innocent unicorns.

But there was something wrong with this man. Virgin could assume from his appearances that yes, he dabbled in villainy... but... he lacked the darkness needed to massacre the overly annoying cute unicorn. His aura permeated a sickening love and a pathetic weakness for the wiles of sensual women. Was he really the dark beast summoned? Surely the dark magics were playing a trick.

There was only one way for a cat to be sure. Ignoring the woman just arrived, Virgin lunged at the beast's arm for a bite.

"Rawr!"

Ladymarshmellow wrote:Pretty colours swirled with light and marshmellow clouds weaved freely in and out through the trees towards our protagonists. She appeared from the mist, and with her came a feeling of dazed euphoria, as blasting colors start to hum a sweet ambience, her pink cheeks brimmed with glee. All around, Flowers swayed in poetical flow, a mindblowing combination of wild and untamed smells, textures, and tastes. Gypsy magic was truly a sight to be seen.

Marshie peered through the otherworldly haze at her Unicorn Hunter. What was she doing here? Marshie wasn't quite sure. But there Launcelot was, dark, stormy eyes fixated on a woman scantly clad in leather and honey..honey? What the hell? Was this a dream? She tilted her head quizzically at him when from behind a black streak of sweetly smelling leather pounced at Launce and started gnawing on his arm. Or was this a nightmare? Marshie did not know what was going on, but she knew she didn't like how the harlot (Razz) was attaching herself to Launce in the most strangest manor.

"Hmmmmph!!! So that's how it is, is it? You're allowed to be gay for Timari, but I'm not??"

Launcelot wrote:She leapt at him, teeth bared...

Now it isn't as though Launcelot isn't quick. Of course he's quick, he is a criminal after all and an Honors Graduate of the Ninja School of Fine Arts. But seeing as how his head was all clouded with Evil Magic... and there was faerie and gyspy dust flying about, it isn't surprising that the Virgin Catwoman managed to get the jump on him. Oh, and that pesky business about not being in control of his body.. that was a problem too.

Her teeth sank deep into the bicept of his shield arm... the copper smell of blood began to fill the air.

He didn't move.. he didn't flinch.. and above all else, it was apparent to Launcelot that he was probably going to die.

But then the funniest thing happened. Marshie appears floating above the scene on gypsy magic induced clouds filled with glitter and flowers. Not at all what Launcelot expected... but as he looked at her, his feelings for her began to overcome the nasty blackness that the Virgin had caused to creep into his soul.

"Marshie.." he said as though his throat were constricted. Then... "Damn! that hurts!!!"

Black magic averted, good guys back in the game.

Launcelot is normally opposed to hurting women for any reason. But he'd never actually had one attempting to eat him before. So as politely as he could under the circumstances, he flung his shield arm wide.. trying to throw her off.

She'd then ... umm...'borrowed' a fast little pony and woven her way down the trail untill she became aware of a strange sounding comotion up ahead. She arrived right behind a woman who stood at the edge of the sceen as an apparation of a quite pretty little woman apeared glowing and scolding at somone.
She closed her gaping mouth and turned her attention to the action. There was MacGregor fighting off some kind of leatherclad rotton smelling woman-beast. She glanced at the woman she had first noticed who appeared intent on some piece of magic and wondered what on earth was going on.
"need help?" she said to no one in particular.

Agitated by the man's rude shove-offs, Virgin clenches her teeth and bites down harder, eager and intoxicated with the taste of blood.

Launcelot wrote:As much as he didn't want to do it, cause hurting women in any way wasn't cool at all... though this one was biting him and getting him all sticky... He raised the pommel of his sword and attempted to bring it down on the naughty kitty's head.

"Would you stop biting me!" he said in frustration.

"If you don't, I'm gonna have to bite you back!"

Just in case he missed with the first strike, for good measures, he tried to smack her again.

Fae wrote:Fae's eyes went wide. She never heard the young lady behind her. Nor did she see the virgin girl making friends, though if she did it might have reminded her of a scene from a children's movie. You know, birds flying, people singing, and all of that. All of her focus was on the spell, the magic enchantment that allowed Launce and Marshy to speak to one another. When the cat attacked, her concentration was broken, and immediately the fuzzy bubble of euphoric happiness popped, sending millions of sparkles, happy rainbows, and various puffy Cirrocumulus masses of condensation (which reminded her strongly of marshmallows) flying in every which direction.

Fae dodged the nearest puff and sprang to her would be brother-in-law's aid. She grabbed the woman by the scruff of her neck, hoping it would have the same effect that it would on a real cat as per the hint mentioned three posts above her's, and immediately began dowsing her in water from a bota bag that moments before had been strapped to her hip.

"No! Bad Kitty! No eating the bad man!" she glanced briefly at Launce, "No matter how much he might deserve it..."

Disclaimer: Fae does not in fact advocate the use of extreme water torture on felines. Fae loves Felines. Felines are our friends. They are cuddly and cute, but when they bite it hurts like holy hell and then you must unleash the smack down on your furry friend in the form of a squirt bottle. Or if they won't stop jumping on your counter, in the form of sticky side up tape, which is both very mean, and very funny.

Disclaimer 2: Fae does not advocate animal abuse in anyway.... except on Tuesdays.

Disclaimer 3: That was a joke for those of you with no sense of humor, Fae does in fact NOT harm animals... cause that's just sick.

MEWOOOOOOOOOWOOOOOOOWWWWWWW
Do not be decieved by the vixen! She does not limit her feline frights to Tuedays at all! She rejoices in locking us in rooms full of the elderly and infirm all seated in rocking chairs. She locks us up at night with the hoard of hungry hounds. She tapes newspapers around our backs and watches us fall over sideways! she drops us from trees to see if we land on our feet.

This woman rations our meow mix and plugged up the mice holes. She declawed us and then sent us to recouperate in a room filled with scratching posts.

She must be stopped! She is a CAT-tastrophie! Together we can avenge this insult even if it takes all 9 lives! The tattered Tom ran to the oversized feline looking female and rubbed up against her leg purring for her to drop the man and get the Lady with the water!
