Re: Reclaimed Property
Donnor wrote:He laughed maniacally at the man as he pleaded with him for his life. ”Quit your sniveling you coward, be a man and take your beating. It’s not everyday someone gets a beating from me like you are about to receive…She begs for abuse does she? Let me hear you beg for it to end and let them come for her. I am General Donnor Tudor and nothing is going to happen to her, trust me.” He spoke with a certain evil in his voice as he pushed the man into the chair and grabbed his shoulder. ” I am going to untie you…but first I want to give myself a little insurance to make sure you don’t get any ideas about swinging your fists at me. I promise this will only hurt…alot” By the end of his sentence he had already swung his fist hard against the shoulder, causing the shoulder to dislocate before going over to the other arm and repeating the process. He ignored the man’s outcries as he walked behind the chair.
Grabbing the man by the back of his hair, he forcefully pointed his face toward Aasha. ”Take a look at her, everything you are about to go through is all because of her…The pain you have inflicted on her today and in the past is nothing compared to what I am capable of.” He was not gentle when untying the rope binding the hands behind the man’s back, making sure he lifted up on the arms every so often just to remind the man that it hurt. Once the hands were untied he walked back in front and pulled the left arm forward hard. Placing it on the arm rest he cut the rope in half and tied the wrists to the chair tightly, making sure it could not come untied in any way the did the same thing to the right arm.
Turning back to DarkLotus, who was still standing in the door way with a sadistic smile spread across his face behind the mask, he spoke clearly. ”Go get me a medium sized rock from outside somewhere as fast as you can please my friend.” It did not take long before Lotus returned with a rock that was slightly bigger than Donnor’s hand. He smiled and nodded his approval as he took the rock and turned back to his victim. ”Now my friend, let me hear you scream like a girl! Donnor yelled out to him as he swung the rock down across the fingers of the man in the chair. The speed and force of the rock coming down had to have broken some fingers, as they had already started swelling up. ”I wonder what I should do about the other hand now…” As Donnor spoke he heard Aasha let out a pained moan. It was quiet but his senses were so alert that he could hear everything, including the owls preying upon the field mice.
Turning, he noticed she had taken her dagger out and a brilliant idea came to mind as he turned and saw the fingers on the other hand were still able to move. ”Excuse me a moment sir…” Walking over to Aasha he leaned down and whispered a plan into her ear. ”If I help you over there, do you think your dagger is sharp enough to remove his fingers? I would rather you not walk until we can get you checked over by a healer so I will carry you over in your chair if you want to. Consider it therapeutic towards getting rid of some past fears my love.”

--Thomas_of_Looe wrote:There was no mercy in Donnor's face. Thomas briefly contemplated how alike he and Aasha's husband were, both enjoyed the torture. His thoughts came out before he could stop them. You like hurting folks too don't ya? You should try her out, when she finally does cry out, its better than anything...
The movement was so unexpected Thomas fell back into the chair when Donnor shoved him. He didn't even have time to stiffen up before he felt his shoulder pop out of the socket, the sickening sound causing bile to rise to his throat. Another scream, then he puked, emptying the contents of his stomach into his lap.
Tearing up at the grip on his hair, rage and fear boiling in his eyes, he was forced to look towards Ash. It was her fault, always her fault! Everything bad that happened could be attributed to her. Thomas would never admit it was his own, he was convinced Aasha running away lead to his own demise into poverty.
There was no relief when the rope was slack on his wrists, Donnor made sure of that. He cried out in pain, suddenly wanting it to be over quickly. Flashes of everything he'd done to the girl went through his mind. If this man even knew half of it, he was in serious trouble.
A rock? Oh Jah! No, I can get money. I know where lots of rich folk stay. Can get ya horses, anything you want. Don't kill me. He stiffened, the dislocated shoulders sending pain cascading down his arms before the rock connected. Donnor got his wish, Thomas was blubbering and screaming like a baby.
He thought his prayers had been answered, until he overheard the comment the man made to his cousin. Surely she wouldn't do that. She was too weak, squeamish. Curling his fingers into his palms, he began to pray in earnest.

Re: Reclaimed Property
Each time a cramp siezed her belly, she could feel the stickiness of blood increase as well. She had a death grip on Donnor's coat, hiding the growing pool while she watched the show. Her eyes followed Darklotus movements out the door before returning to her love. Aasha didn't even wince when she heard the unmistakable sound of shoulders dislocating, smiled with grim satisfaction when he broke Thomas fingers. Hadn't he done the same to her?
Her voice was laced with contempt as she spoke to Thomas. Yer weak, nae me. Ya did worse to me jus' today...an' I ain't makin' near as much noise as yer doin'. Yer nae a man...yer a wee bairn, needin' to go back to yer mum's teat.
She met her love's eyes as he moved towards her. Ignoring the worst of the pain, she removed her uninjured hand from her stomach to tenderly caress his jaw. Thank ya love... A real smile lit up her face as he whispered. Yah...ya knows my daggers always sharp. An' if'n it ain't...well, it'll jus' hurts more... I ain't 'fraid of him, nae now. I tole him...tole him ya'd kills him dead. But yer gonna hafta carry me...ain't sure I ken walks...

Donnor wrote:He grinned widely as he placed a hand on the back on seat of the chair and lifted it into the air slowly before carrying her over. Just as gently as he had picked her up, he put her back down next to her cousin’s chair. With the back of his fist he swung it across the man’s face with tremendous force. ”Now be a good little bastard and open your hand for the lady. Trust me, you do not want me to force it open…” When the man refused to open his hand, Donnor pulled his dagger from his boot and slowly pushed it through his forearm, the sound of muscles and tendons ripping was all he could hear as he watched the man slowly open his fingers. ”Good job…for listening so well I will let you decide which finger you want to lose first. Don’t you dare say none of them, otherwise I will be smashing your other hand with the rock again.”
Turning his attention back to Aasha, he smiles and speaks in a low voice. ”He is all yours my love. No need to go easy on him, he thinks he is a man after all.” He chuckles as he ignores the man who continues to claim he knows rich people. He would never take money over his wife’s safety and peace of mind. Plus it has been far to long since he has had this amount of fun and is just not ready to let up yet.

An' yer always tellin' me I ain't too smarts. Seems to me I'm a hell 'o a lots smart'r 'n ya is. I wouldna be refusin' Donnor nothin' if'n I was ya... But Thomas wasn't showing any intelligence, not until her husband sliced into his arm, then the fingers finally uncurled from his palm.
I willna be goin' easy love...he wouldna fer me...he didna...an'... Aasha glanced down at her still cramping belly, swallowed painfully, then met her husbands eyes. ...I owes him...
She shook her head at the scream, laughed when the idiot puked on himself again, then looked expectantly into his eyes. Which finger was ya wantin' gone first? Her eyes were cold when she looked at him. He was getting smarter, wiggling his pinkie and whispering brokenly that one. She didn't care how many cuts it took, so didn't bother to hold his hand down as she sliced right above his knuckle. Watching as he lost color, she raised the dagger and brought it down again, separating what remained of the dangling digit. Thomas screamed again and again, his offers to pay to get out of this getting more and more bizarre. There ain't 'nuff money fer ya to be livin'...he tole ya. What ya should be prayin' an' askin' fer is a faster death...cuz yer nae walkin' outta here.

Donnor wrote:He watched as the blood squirted from his pinkie and across the room. ”Wow you got some pretty good distance on that one.” Laughing, he took his dagger over to the hand he had previously slammed the rock on. Looking at the man’s face he grinned and spoke again. ”Which finger will it be over here?” He watched as yet again he wiggled the pinkie on the opposite hand and then nodded. Taking his dagger in his hand he raised it far above his head and swung it down hard across the index finger. ”Damn me and my bad aim! He said sarcastically as he began to laugh. He was enjoying the pain he and Aasha were inflicting on the man but grew tired of the mindless babbling and pleading.
Taking the rock in his hand once more, a disturbed look played across his face and he set the rock down. He searched the floor for what he had in mind and finally found a piece of the shattered door big enough for what he had in mind. Picking the piece of wood up, he held it in both hands as he slung the top part onto his shoulder. After careful aiming, he swung the piece of wood back and then released. Watching the wood shatter across the mans lips he waited to see if any teeth had been knocked out. ”I hit right where I was aiming this time! Let’s just hope you are smart enough to shut up now.”
He turned his attention back to his wife, the look on his face meant to urge her on. ”You can keep removing fingers or if there is something else you have in mind…The sky is the limit tonight my love.” He grinned at her, waiting to see what she would do next.

Yer both going to hell! My men'll be coming to kill you both. Too many knows where I am. Blood gushed from his finger, causing another anguished yell to fill the room. Tears streamed from his eyes as he began begging again.
I know lots of folks, I can get you anything...anything...please. Just stop...please stop! Don't do this to me. We're family Ash, you can't do this to family!

Re: Reclaimed Property
She laughed then, deeply. It hurt, but she laughed anyway. Fam'ly? Ya ain't my fam'ly. Donnor's my fam'ly...he loves me. Yer nae...hell, yer nae even worthy o' bein' called that. Yer jus' dead meat. Nothin' more, nothin' less. Fam'ly cares an' loves each other. Ya dun love nobody but yerself.
His crying was beginning to bug her, she never dreamed anyone could be that much of a sniveling coward. Somehow she wasn't surprised, but she dearly wanted him to shut up. Seemed like Donnor had the same idea. Smiling at her husband, she slowly looked Thomas up and down. She knew how to hurt him the worst, but somehow couldn't stomach the idea of seeing that part of his anatomy. Instead, she took aim at another finger, partially cutting the index one off before slicing directly above his knee.

Spitting again, he saw a couple more broken teeth fall out and cried harder. He couldn't help the whimpers, nor the scream when she took half a finger and cut into his leg, but he found a way to stop the babbling. The pain was too much though, he could feel the room blackening again, and prayed silently for death to take him quickly.

Re: Reclaimed Property
Donnor wrote:He watched as the man seemed to slip in and out of consciousness. ”Not yet! I am not finished with you yet!” His voice boomed and shook the walls of the shack, angered that the man was close to passing out. Donnor knew the pain would not be as bad if the man passed out but he also knew that if the pain got any worse he would surely cause the man to slip into darkness. He sighed as he knew he had no choice but to put the man out of his misery. ”Before you die, I want you to feel and experience the worst pain in your life, because losing Aasha would be the worst pain to me. Think, as you feel yourself slipping into that darkness, you should have stayed away.” With a final sadistic grin, he tilted his head to the side and staring into the beaten mans now soulless eyes he slammed his dagger into the most personal area a man has. The smile had already left Donnor’s face as he quickly pulled the dagger out. Dropping it to the ground, he placed his hands on each side of the man’s head and with one swift twist, severed the neck bone until the head was completely twisted around killing him instantly.
Turning back to Lotus he nodded and spoke. ”The tongue is yours and if you could, skin him and have it sent back to our good friend Siggie Blount back in England. I am sure he can find use for it.” As Lotus approached, Donnor turned back to Aasha and smiled before letting out a sigh of relief. ”Come love, its time to go home…it’s over and he will never be able to bother you again. We need to get someone to check out your injuries though.”
He leans down and lifts her from the chair and notices a pool of blood on the seat where she was sitting. He then noticed his arm became sticky and warm, he knew she was bleeding but didn’t know where it was coming from or how serious her injuries were. Without thinking or saying a word he bolted out of the shack and began running back towards their home in hopes of finding someone to look at Aasha this late. He was unsure if she knew about the bleeding and always noticed when he noticed it, it hurt more so he decided to stay quiet as he ran.

Re: Reclaimed Property
She was starting to feel a little light headed, but finished slicing off Thomas finger before she lowered the dagger back to her lap. The vice inside her stomach was worse, something she didn't think was possible. Letting the blade rest on her thigh, she pressed her hand back into her belly and bent forward slightly, trying to breathe through the pain. Her eyes narrowed on Thomas, this was his fault. He was taking more away from her than she could take from him, even if he didn't realize it.
Aasha wasn't surprised when he started drifting in and out of consciousness. She was actually shocked he'd stayed awake this long, and decided it had to be because of all the whimpering he had been doing. Somehow, she knew exactly where Donnor was going to stab before his knife bit into Thomas flesh. Their thought processes were eerily similar, hadn't she thought of cutting it off just moments before? She watched Thomas face crumple before Donnor snapped his neck, knowing the last thing he would see would be a look of triumph in hers.
It was with a dawning sense of relief that Aasha realized Donnor was right. He could never harm her again. She had always known she need not fear for Donnor, that he could care for himself...and that he would protect her to his dying breath. This one wouldn't have ever been the one to take it. I'm ready fer home love. He shoulda listened to me...
As he lifts her in his arms, the remaining color drained from Aasha's face. The blood loss she'd been hiding was obvious, she could see the pool in the chair. Wrapping her good hand around his neck, she clung weakly, knowing that soon she'd have to tell him where the blood was coming from...if she made it that long...

Re: Reclaimed Property
The_Wise_Woman wrote:Midway through his race back to the house, seeking help for Aasha, Donnor realised he was near the semi-isolated cottage that had been pointed out to him days before. Here he knew he could find the wise woman of Inis.
By and large the townsfolk turned to her for medical help long before they sought one of those suspicious quacks called "Doctor". After all for several generations now the wise woman - and her mother and grandmother before her - had seen the citizens of Inis into and out of this world.
No-one seemed quite sure how old she was - certainly she looked extremely aged - but then as far as the oldest townsfolk could remember she had looked that way for a very long time indeed. The children of the town had built quite a mythology around her - was it really her own mother and grandmother who'd been the healers before this wise woman? Or was it simply the same woman, one who aged but never died?
Versed in herb lore, skilled with animals, wise in the ways of men and women and the frail fleshly bodies that carried those bright spirits around, one farmer had once said of her that she could make a cow get up and dance long after the moo had left the beast for good.
And it was here that Donnor turned.
When the frantic knocking came on her door, the wise woman rose. As she moved to the cottage door, she carefully eyed the sack she kept right beside the door. It was for emergencies, packed full of all the useful things she hoped she'd never need. But that urgent clamour, that desperate rapping . . . . . she recognised an emergency when she heard one and as one hand opened the door, the other was already reaching for her sack.
"Yes, young man? Tell me."

Donnor wrote:By the time he reached the woman’s home he was nearly out of breath and ready to collapse. That had been the furthest he has ever run in his life. He had heard the stories of the mysterious woman that resided in this cottage and let out a sigh of relief when she answered the door. He quickly explained the short version of what was wrong, making sure to leave out all the gory details involving the murder he had just committed even though he had done it in self defense.
”Please milady, I beg of you to help me. Money is not a problem, if you are looking to be paid for your services I can pay you well.”
Aasha had been the one thing he had left in his life that he could not bear to lose. She was the one important piece of his life that kept him going and without her he felt he would no longer have the urge to get up in the mornings. His eyes pleaded to the wise woman standing in front of him as he waited for her response.

Oh my, these big city noble boys . . . . what would the likes of her ever do with money when she could barter for all she needed? Still, his panic went a long way to explaining things, and certainly the story he'd given her was bleak enough.
Stepping back from the door, she gestured him in with his precious bundle. "Why are we lollygagging young man? Speed is of the essence if we're to best help your young lady."
With the emergency bag firmly in her hand, she waved him through to the small bed nearest the fire, a warm place and ready to receive the sick and injured. "Just here please - then take a seat back over there - I know that you're concerned for her, but peace is best for me to work." Holding his gaze carefully she nodded reassuringly, "I will do my best for her, my very best."

Before standing upright he kissed her forehead gently and whispered into her ear. ”I will be right here my love.” Turning he thanked the woman and walked over to the chair she had pointed out to him and reluctantly sat down so the woman would have room to work. He had confidence that everything would be alright and Aasha would be up and moving around again before to long but given the look on his face it was most likely unnoticeable to anyone else.
