[RP] Wedding Reception of Lynna and Arthur

Dewaugh came up to the couple and presented Lynna with his wedding gifts. Arthur's eyes opened in shock with each new present being presented. Wow, this is very generous of you..

Arthur offered his hand to Dewaugh to shake his hand. Thank you so much for everything..

I do want to thank you both for inviting me.. I am quite honored.
I only wish I could have been here sooner to see the ceremony and to share in more of your happiness with you."
Sulks a second.
"I had made plans for this day as soon as I received the invitation. But, so much has happened since then and my journey north did not go as smoothly as I had wished. I must say, a few days ago I had all but given up hope of making it back at all. So, I do apologize deeply for being so tardy, yet I am very thrilled to have at least been able to catch the site of you two together on this day. It would have been a shame to have missed the sight of you in that dress Lynna."

He was listening to Josehf speak with Lynna when he mentioned not saving him from the mines. Oh man! He laughed. He pulled Lynna closer to his side. Well, she's mine. She chose me, his eyes turned to look at her, and I'm very happy she did. He hoped that she knew that.

Hearing Josehf's questions about the honeymoon, his focus returned to him. Well, we're going to spend a few days here in Coventry to tie up a few loose ends and then we are going North to Chester. Then from there, wherever our legs lead us. We're going to take a long honeymoon away from Stafford to get used to married life. We want to meet as many people as possible.

We are just happy you could make it Joseph, there were alot that weren't able to make the trip and some that could only stay for the wedding, It's been a wonderful day she said as she held the gifts from Dew moving to Arthurs side. She was blushing, her shy demeanor surfacing as he commented on the couple and Lynnas dress.

Oh my! she smiled at Josehf as he said he regretted being involved in the mine rescue in jest, I am glad you are just kidding Josehf. Arthur laughing and pulling her closer into his side, saying she was his and how happy he was made her blush a little deeper, she loved Arthur nd now she was his wife.

As Arthur went on to answer Josehf's question about the honeymoon she added, We both definitely need a break from everything for a while she said. I am very much looking forward to it and the time with my Love, she leant into his side.

I was looking at the gifts just before, the statuette is beautiful Josehf thank you so much, I don't think Arthur has had a chance to see it yet have you Love? She asked before stepping up to Josehf again giving him another hug with her free arm It is a beautiful piece of art, I love it.

Oswald must of noticed Lynna and Arthur holding Dews gifts as they were talking, approaching he excused himself and said.
Excuse me M'lady, Lord Arthur, Gentlemen
Would you like me to take the gifts for you M'lady as he extended his hand.

Lynna handed the gifts she was holding over to Oswald That would be wonderful Oswald thank you.

You're welcome M'Lady he said

Arthur handed over what he was holding also saying to Oswald Good man Oswald, actually you could see to having all the gifts taken up to our room if you would.

Of course M'Lord giving a nod of his head to Arthur.

Pascal , does all the armour and shields.
This shield is fully hand made , with the three fleur-de-lis , at the top representing my Family Crest , the Inverted one at the bottom is for sacrifice , to honour those , who gave their lives in the pursuit of Justice and Honour ." I explain to him

" Again made by Pascal Dupau , this is some of the French Armour , ever made . This piece is more for decoration than wearing but it is in your size , if the need ever arised ."I say

" A blue glass locket , encased in Silver .
If you open it , you shall see my Family Crest . This is show my closeness and love of you both , no matter where you are , you can look at that and know that you both are in my thoughts always .
Liza has one as well but she left before I could explain it's significance ." I explain

If not for stopping in for food and paying tenants I fear I would never see my home. I will tell you there are some good people within Shrewsbury and Chester alike. From there north people dont seem to get out much.. At least not till you get close to Penrith. I do wish to tell you to be careful though. Josehf then hears Lynna talk of his gift.
"You are most welcome. I am sorry it could not be more. I am afraid that a man of my means is forced to fall back on his own talents for gifts to such occasions. I had barely started on it before I left to travel north. Falcon and I pushed hard on the way up and through some bad weather, so I did not get much time to work on it then. But, it passed many a nights while sitting by the campfires in Carlisle."

"I told them the purpose, but they did not seem to want to believe me.
No matter. I just hope you like it. It was what came to my mind when I pictured you both together.
Well, I wish you both a wonderful and safe journey. I will be heading south from here, so hopefully you will have returned by the time I come back through and we can talk about our travels."

The gift is beautiful Josehf, as he said it was his own work Lynna smiled with admiration, I never knew you had such talent. She laughed when he said about the soldiers thinking he was carving out his own woman, I am glad we could inspire such emotion as the piece shows she said with a wink. We will have to get together again next time we are either in Lichfield or Coventry she said smiling as Josehf was often in their home town as well.


Her attention went back to Dew as he called for some more gifts for Arthur, she was impressed by the workmanship and detail listening on as Dew explained about each gift. They are amazing she said as she looked at Dew and then her husband as she held onto his arm.

As Dew also presented them with a locket bearing his family Crest she smiled at him as she took it from his hand. We'll carry it with us wherever we go Dew, thank you so much, Lynna was truly overwhelmed their friends generosity. Arthur's gifts will be a stunning addition to his personal armoury she thought, hoping the need for their use would be limited.

She looked at the two men, I am so glad both of you were able to make it, giving them both another hug and kiss on the cheekI hope you have enjoyed the celebrations of the day.

The Dupau brothers, Arthur acknowledged the craftsmanship on the shield and sword. He ran his hand over the detailed hilt of the sword. It was heavy, but not too heavy. The weight of the sword felt just right. They do make a fine sword, he said. He placed the sword vertically in Oswald's hands as he was given the shield. It was heavier than he was used to. Your family crest is very simplistic and grand in nature. The Tudors have similar weapons in our armory.

Arthur had thought these were the gifts, but then Dewaugh presented him with another weapon.

The next gift was presented to Arthur, and he was amazed. He had been handing all the gifts to Oswald after carefully examining each and every one. Wow.. I have the perfect place to place that. I have been seeking a full suit of armor. And you are right, Dew. If worse comes to worse, it could always be used in battle.

We, he looked at Lynna then back to Dewaugh, both thank you for everything. We appreciate the time you placed into finding these perfect gifts. We will be thinking of you and Coventry while we are away, and you know if you ever need anything.. you only need to ask.

Josehf chimed in again speaking about enjoying their honeymoon and his adventures and experiences up north in Cumberland. We have been there a few times, Arthur said. Never long enough to make any friends though..

The gift is wonderful. It is very delicate and fragile, but it has a weight to it. It must be from the raw material you used. Is it stone? iron? Arthur wasn't a blacksmith so he had no idea what was used to sculpt. Thank you for the blessings. We will visit you upon our return to Stafford to share our travel experiences with you. He smiled, wrapping an arm around Lynna. If you will both excuse us.. his eyes turned to Lynna, we are going to retire for the night. It has been a very busy and long day and we have barely spent any time alone.

He stopped Oswald on his way out in the hallway. Bring us a bottle of champagne and glasses from the Dewaugh estate and some fresh fruit. He was quiet and deliberate in his speech so that Lynna would not overhear. And make it quick.. we don't want to be disturbed.

Oswald walked over to a servant, whispering his orders, ending with an emphatic: Move, now, MOVE. The young man scurried towards the wine cellar to complete his task as fast as possible.
